Testimony Poem
My great complaint is against this terrible emptiness.
I now understand that ideas & thoughts are worthless
If one cannot convert them into action
I am giving rise to all kinds of thoughts
Expressing themselves in strange desires
If one has nothing positive
Then all sorts of negative tendencies appear unhindered
All day long, I search for some positive content for my life
I hope to find a meaning that will fill me,
& satisfy me.
But I hear a voice inside of me saying:
"You are deceiving yourself
If you think this is or value for you
It can at best fill only part of your spirit."
This has been my situation for quite some time.
I am lost, & seek in vain
for meaning,
for control,
for purpose.
But so far, I have found nothing.

Different emotions come & go
They travel all around our head
Happiness, Joy Blissful, & Ecstatic
These are pretty much the only emotions we all know
how to handle
But then come those that are hard to handle
Hard to even think about
Sadness, Depression, Gloomy, Grief, & disappointment
Those who surround us always ask,
"What's wrong?"
It quickly becomes noticeable
But all we seem to always say is,
"I'm fine."
Even though we're drowning in our own thoughts

But why not be happy?
It's better living with joy

Hitting me high & low
Bad smells, dirty streets & polluted air

All of this is evitale and worthwhile
With a positive mind set and an amorous smile
Just as different emotions come around
At some point you might just blow
Other times you might feel like you're not even on the ground
But why not be happy?
